World Cup Pizzas: USA  🇺🇸 vs Australia 🇦🇺 The US men are in Seattle today to face Australia, fresh off a win of their own over Turkey. Australia's pizza is inspired by the Aussie meat pie which originated in the 18th century, brought over by British settlers as a practical, portable meal for workers. Evolving from the British pastry-encased staple. The filling is made by searing ground beef then sweating an onion with garlic, tomato paste and braising in beef stock, worcestershire, and vegamite. My pizza version starts with my tavern dough that gets an even layer of beef filling and shredded mozzarella.  Puff pastry is that rolled thin and covers the pizza to enchase the filling.  The excess is trimmed, the edges are crimped, it's brushed with wash and sprinkled with flakey @maldonsalt . It then heads into my home oven to bake then finished in my @gozney Arc XL. It's then given then sliced and finished with the tradional squirt of ketchup It's a world class pizza, just like Gio Reyna's Finish The Group D lead is at the stake today and say it with me now, I believe that we will win...
