To celebrate the Knicks' NBA title, clinched with a Game 5 victory over the San Antonio Spurs, New York City on Thursday will host the first-ever ticker-tape parade for the team's championship — and Mayor Zohran Mamdani says the parade could be the biggest the city's ever seen. 

"We've been waiting 53 years for this," Mamdani said, adding: "There are many of us for whom a Knicks championship was something that we weren't even alive to see."
