Set against the backdrop of South Korea’s pro-democracy movement of the 1980s, Black and White Tea Room explores a painful chapter in history when citizens fought against military dictatorship. As democracy was suppressed, countless innocent people were imprisoned, tortured, and sacrificed in the struggle for freedom.
