Happy Juneteenth!.

161 years of Juneteenth reminds us of 1865, when freedom was finally announced to enslaved people in Texas more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation.

It also reminds us that underrepresented founders are essential in carrying that legacy forward, building the solutions and doing the work that shape what equity looks like in real time.

Alodia Hair Care, founded by Dr. Isfahan Chambers, a PhD biomedical scientist, was built after a simple but powerful question: what if the products meant for care were also affecting the health of Black women?

That question became a mission, making space for Black women to understand their hair and scalp through science, education, and better choices rooted in care, not confusion.

Juneteenth is about what freedom looks like when it reaches every part of life, including how we care for ourselves.
