According to tmz_tv the singer appeared in court to defend himself in a lawsuit filed by his former housekeeper, who claims she suffered emotional and physical injuries after allegedly being attacked by a large dog while taking out the trash at his Los Angeles home.

The trial officially began after a jury was selected, but proceedings were cut short when the judge declared a mistrial and dismissed everyone from the courtroom.
Reports state the mistrial stemmed from a juror allegedly researching the case before the trial started and sharing information with other jurors.
