On Monday June 15, two of the pizza industry’s most respected craftsmen, pizzeriabianco and Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana’s Chris D’Auria will come together for a special collaboration presented by Blackbird at the F&F Pizza Sessions 2026 in New York City.

For Chris D’Auria, this moment represents a lifetime dedicated to the craft of pizza making. Chris began working at Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana at just 15 years old and has spent more than half of his life learning, perfecting, and preserving the art of authentic New Haven-style apizza. Under the mentorship of Gary Bimonte and Francis Rosselli, the grandsons of Frank Pepe, Chris developed a deep respect for the traditions, techniques, and standards that have made Frank Pepe’s an American institution for more than a century.

Today, Chris serves as Frank Pepe’s Lead Pizzaiola and Director of Quality, overseeing pizza training and craftsmanship across the company. He is responsible for developing the next generation of pizza makers and ensuring every pizza reflects the quality, consistency, and passion that define the Frank Pepe legacy.

Joining Chris is pizza icon Chris Bianco, founder of Pizzeria Bianco, whose pioneering approach to wood-fired pizza and commitment to exceptional ingredients helped elevate pizza into a respected culinary art form. Widely regarded as one of the most influential pizza makers in America, Bianco became the first pizzaiolo to receive a James Beard Award, cementing his place in culinary history.

Together, D’Auria and Bianco represent the very best of American pizza craftsmanship, two passionate artisans united by a relentless commitment to quality, tradition, and innovation.
