Bloodywood, Download Festival 2026 

LIVE REVIEW: Music is the most universal language we have, and that’s an even more prevalent statement when you are talking about the heavier side of things. It’s why events such as Download - welcoming, celebratory - are the way that they are. And it’s also why, despite being 4000 miles from where their roots lie, Bloodywood are right at home.
From New Delhi to southeast of Derby, their devastatingly heavy crossover sound has all before them at the Apex Stage in an absolute whirlwind, the likes of ‘Aaj’ and Gaddaar’ squeezing every ounce of energy out of those putting everything on the line in the pit. Whilst the inspirational message at the core of ‘Bekhauf’, of facing your fears head on and not letting them consume your life, sends a shiver up many a spine when matched with such ferocity.
It’s the sort of demonstration of power and connection that is becoming increasingly vital with each passing day. A fiery and fantastical sign that humanity will always prevail, and no matter what creed or culture you are born into, there is a whole world out there ready and waiting to welcome you in.
And if Bloodywood are to continue being the spokespeople for such a wondrous sentiment, then there is plenty of hope for the future.
