Today we honor Juneteenth, a pivotal moment in American history. 🗓️ On June 19, 1865, enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, were finally informed of their freedom—two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation.

In 2021, it was officially recognized as a federal holiday, known as Juneteenth National Independence Day. Today is a time for reflection, education, and celebration of Black freedom, resilience, and achievement. ✊🏾❤️💛💚
