When it comes to Gold Cup Day at Royal Ascot, it’s only natural to think of champion stayer KYPRIOS ❤️ Winner of the 2022 and 2024 editions of the Gold Cup, the Ballydoyle star retired an eight-time Group 1 winner in May of last year following the reoccurrence of an old injury.

The son of Galileo, trained by Aidan O’Brien, won 17 of his 21 starts with over £2.6 million in total prize-money ✨ 

He’s fondly remembered for the resiliency he showed after recovering from a serious fetlock joint infection, defying the odds to overcome an injury that nearly ended his career in early 2023. 

All heart with a ton of class to boot, Kyprios now stands as a stallion at The Beeches Stud under the Coolmore National Hunt banner.
