## Caption

California Gov. #GavinNewsom, an outspoken Democrat who has long sparred with the commander in chief on social media, said he is on President Trump's "hit list," noting on social media that the Department of Justice is apparently investigating him and his wife.

The Justice Department did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Newsom said that Trump "hates that I consistently call him out. He is simply the most corrupt President in American history."
