Cooking a Filet Mignon - If I can do it, I promise, you can too! Just in time to make any dad feel extremely special this Father’s Day! ❤️ 

1. Preheat cast iron on high and season steaks generously with salt and pepper. 
2. Sear steaks in avocado or vegetable oil (2 min per side (yes even get the small sides))
3. Let steaks rest for 10 min. Heat to low on cast iron, then melt one stick butter, few sprigs of thyme, some garlic cloves 
4. Baste the meat quickly coating each piece and flipping every 30 seconds. 
5. Repeat basting and flipping until temp reaches 120-125. 
6. Let filets rest, internal temp will reach 130 for medium rare and 135 for medium. 
7. Indulge and enjoy! 🤤 

Ingredients: 
- 2 filet mignon pieces 
- 1 stick salted butter 
- salt and pepper to season 
- 3-4 garlic cloves 
- 3-4 sprigs thyme 
- avocado or vegetable oil
