One thing that made this album great was how naturally Kenny moves between rap, rock, alternative, and melodic sounds without it ever sounding like he’s chasing a particular genre. If you’re a fan of him already, you’d know that’s not necessarily new, but it was definitely polished. The internet has been all over this project since it dropped, with publications like Pitchfork praising the way Kenny blends those influences together into something that feels completely his own 🔥

The feature list on this project only reinforces that as well. JID shows up and does what JID does best, but even more interesting is how naturally artists like Dominic Fike fit into Kenny’s world. “Find God” ends up being one of the album’s standout moments because it highlights something Kenny has always been great at, which is making artists from completely different lanes sound like they belong on the same project. 

‘BULLDAWG’ feels like Kenny fully understanding who he is, and that’s why so many people are calling it one of the strongest rap releases of the year 💿
