Prada Men’s S/S ‘27 has arrived 🖤

The collection debuted in Milan this afternoon, and it was based around what Miuccia Prada called “the most universal object”: jeans. There were jeans of every kind: printed denim, colorful leather, translucent nylon, all in the same skin-tight and aggressively cropped fit. “We all know the times when what you see on the runways, you see it also in the streets,” Prada’s co-creative director, Raf Simons tells samuelhine. “That’s just not where fashion is right now…But people can be individual with common garments.” 

Several female models joined the cast for the men’s show to underscore that “anybody can wear it,” according to Mrs. Prada. Whether you can fit into it is another matter. 

If Mrs. Prada and denim seems like an odd combination, she agrees: “I’ve never worn jeans in my life!”
