#WHYDZWEDNESDAY FOR OUR INCREDIBLE PHILANTHROPY! 💝

Our philanthropy, Speech & Hearing, allows us to help safeguard hearing, raise awareness, and provide resources for individuals seeking speech therapy and hearing aids. Through our global partnership with the Starkey Hearing Foundation, we transform lives by providing the gift of hearing to those in need around the world. The American Society for Deaf Children is our national philanthropy partner, helping to bridge the gaps of communication between deaf children and their families by helping parents learn ASL. Locally we are able to make an impact in our community by supporting the UA Speech and Hearing Center! 

Annually, our chapter raises over $30,000 towards Speech & Hearing. Yesterday, we delivered a check to the UA Speech and Hearing center for $2,250. As a chapter, we have completed over 16,000 service hours this year alone! 

So why DZ? One of the unique things about our chapter is that we are one of the only houses on campus to have a global, national, and local Philanthropy. Having all three allows our members to make an even bigger impact, and our local philanthropy allows us to see the impact we are making, and get inspired to serve hands-on!
