This week we’re hearing from roommate duo, madeleineferachi and grace_degeneres on making the right choice with your roomie!!!!

“Home is wherever you feel like yourself. I found this to be the KD house, during rush and everyday since. After choosing the University of Alabama, I knew that I was taking a big step out of my comfort zone. Immediately into rush, KD stood out to me through how genuine and comforting every single conversation I had was. I felt completely comfortable to be myself and felt so understood. Grace, my roommate, is from Mississippi. We knew each other as babies!  Our moms met as KDs at LSU, and they are still close friends. When we decided to go to Bama, our moms reconnected us. Here we are living in Tut together and will live together next year! I always get so excited seeing my KD sisters and truly the reason I feel so comfortable in a place so far away from home:) Knowing it was this easy to find so many new best friends made my first year of college extremely successful and cannot wait for the years to come!!”

“Not only choosing to be roomies, but choosing to go KD together was the best decision we’ve ever made. Our moms were KDs together and college best friends, but we never really met until senior year. We immediately hit it off and have been inseparable ever since. Being in the same sorority while living together has made everything double the fun! We have seriously made the most amazing memories this year, and every single one of them has been with each other! Being best friends with your roommate is awesome, but being sisters is the biggest blessing you could possibly ask for! Take this as your sign to make your roomie your forever sister!”
