Meet our New Member Experience Director, Claire!

“Hey everyone! My name is Claire Whitty, and I have the privilege of serving as the 2026 New Member Experience Director! I’m a rising junior from Washington, DC, majoring in Communications and double minoring in Sports Media and Advertising & Public Relations. Accepting this role was a surreal moment for me because it feels like yesterday I was a freshman walking into Kappa for the very first time with no clue what was to come, definitely leaning on the older girls to help me find my way.

New members can come to me for anything and everything. I know the first few months of college can seem intimidating and scary at times, but they also brought me some of my best memories. My job is to help make those first few months as fun and easy as possible while transitioning from high school to college. I’m here to offer my support as both a friend and mentor. Now, being halfway through college, I can confidently say that choosing Kappa has been one of the best decisions I’ve made, and I can’t imagine my life without the best friends, incredible role models, and constant support system it has given me. From planning the Bid Day retreat and making Bid Day bags to working with the best new member team, I’ve only grown more and more excited to finally meet our new members. Bid Day can’t come soon enough! I’m so excited for you, PC ’26, so get ready for the best four years ever!!! As always, KAPPA’S IT!!!!”
