#WHYKD 💚💚💚 Meet Garrett Scott from Montgomery, Alabama! 

“When I was going through rush, I kept an open mind and really focused on what each sorority had to offer. Since I was from Montgomery, I already had some older friends that were in different sororities. I’ve always wanted to make everyone happy, but ultimately, I had to put myself first and find a place that could be my second home and find the people that would push me to be the best person I could be. During rush week, I looked for authentic, genuine, encouraging, and loving friendships in each house. I had so much fun in each house, but by the end of the week, the house I found the most special was KD. By experiencing KD’s values and having the sweetest conversations, I knew KD was where I could serve my community, excel in my academics, get involved on campus, while having a network of peers that would support me for a lifetime. One aspect of KD that has stood out the most to me in my freshman year is how the older members have guided me to apply for Freshman Forum, positions in our sorority, and a hospital volunteer program.  I am incredibly thankful for the friends I have already made in KD and the opportunities I have already been given!” -Garrett Scott PC 21’
