Most people log on my website and see a finished product not knowing how long it took to get there.

Seeing something’s on the internet lately has made me want to share a little piece of my process.

I think brands who launch to massive audiences and sell out within minutes to then be met with quality complaints is just not right. Then they fix it, re launch and sell it all over again.

Where’s the integrity in that?

Maybe I’m old fashioned but my process is completely different.

I don’t believe your customers should be paying to test your products - that’s what the quality control department is for.

Even if it’s just you and your close family and friends! 🤷‍♀️

That’s what I’ve done since I launched!

Samples
Test samples
Try on / wash / rewear
Have family or trusted friends try on + ask for feedback
Decide if the specific sample deserves to be worked on, or thrown out. (This is when I will do a sample sale)

The truth is, especially over the last 3–4 years, it has become increasingly difficult to find consistent quality. Rarely do I receive a sample that I’m 100% happy with right out of the gate.

While everyone is settling for “this is fine, this is good enough, it will do”, I’m pushing my manufactures to maintain consistency, improve quality and meet the standards I expect.

If a manufacturer can’t get a ready-made sample correct there’s no reason for me to trust them with a custom design.

Only after proving themselves do I move to part 2 which is designing from scratch or perfecting a piece until it’s exactly what I want. 💅🏼✨

Even up until last year when I was sourcing GOTS + OEKO TEX + Bluesign + OCS just to name a few - it was impossible to check of all the boxes.

I kept saying “this is the future” while being left on read.

At the time, many didn’t understand why I was so particular about certifications, transparency, material sourcing, and consistency.

The standards consumers are demanding today are the same standards I’ve been asking for all along.

I’ve been building this all along.

The samples in these pictures didn’t make the cut, I will have a sample sale.

But what’s coming next ohhhhhh boyyyyyy ❤️‍🔥
