Story Book 713: 🧡 GURU NANAK DEV JI (1469–1539)

A spiritual teacher, reformer, traveler, poet, and the founder of Sikhism whose message continues to inspire millions around the world.

Born on 15 April 1469 in Talwandi (now Nankana Sahib, Pakistan), Guru Nanak showed extraordinary wisdom, compassion, and spiritual insight from a young age.

While many people focused on differences, Guru Nanak focused on what unites humanity.

✨ His message was simple:

There is One God.

All human beings are equal.

Truth, love, honesty, and service are the foundations of a meaningful life.

🌍 He traveled thousands of miles across India, Tibet, Sri Lanka, Arabia, and many other regions, meeting people of different backgrounds, cultures, and faiths.

Wherever he went, he encouraged people to:

🙏 Remember God (Naam Japna)

💼 Earn honestly (Kirat Karni)

🤝 Share with others (Vand Chhakna)

❤️ Serve humanity (Seva)

One of his most revolutionary teachings was that no person is higher or lower by birth, wealth, caste, or status.

For Guru Nanak, every human being carried the same Divine Light.
