Story Book 696: 🌸 SRI SARADA DEVI — THE HOLY MOTHER OF MODERN INDIA

Many people know Sri Ramakrishna.

Many know Swami Vivekananda.

But few know the extraordinary woman who stood at the heart of their spiritual movement.

Sri Sarada Devi was born on 22 December 1853 in Jayrambati, West Bengal, India. Her birth name was Saradamani Mukhopadhyay.

From childhood, she was known for her kindness, simplicity, compassion, and devotion to God.

❤️ Married?
Yes.

She married Sri Ramakrishna at a young age. But their relationship was unlike ordinary marriage. It was built on purity, spirituality, mutual respect, and a shared dedication to God.

She became not only his companion but also a guiding light for countless seekers.

After Sri Ramakrishna’s passing in 1886, many disciples felt lost.

It was Holy Mother Sarada Devi who comforted them, guided them, and kept the spiritual family united.

She encouraged Swami Vivekananda and blessed his mission to share India’s spiritual wisdom with the world.
