An Elderly woman is left seriously injured after a vehicle crashes into a retirement home in Orléans‼️😨

A woman inside the Chapel Hill Retirement Residence was seriously injured Tuesday afternoon after a two-vehicle collision caused one of the vehicles to reverse into the front entrance of the building.

Emergency crews responded to the residence at the corner of Pagé Road and Innes Road just after 3 p.m. The woman inside the building was transported to hospital in serious but stable condition. The driver of the vehicle also suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital as a precaution.

The crash caused significant damage to the front entrance of the retirement home, with the vehicle remaining lodged inside the building for several hours. Ottawa Police say the investigation is ongoing.
