On Saturday, June 13th, USA Ball Hockey announced their 2026 World Championship roster. Stevenson women’s ice hockey assistant coach Madison Nichols is on that roster and will be partaking in the games that will be held in Ostrava, Czechia. The games run from June 20-28th.

Nichols, a native of Trinity, FL, was a four-year player at Nazareth where she accumulated 37 goals & 59 assists for 96 points in 85 career games. She finished second all-time in career assists and points as well as third in goals. In her senior season in 2021-2022, she helped the Golden Flyers to their first-ever UCHC title and NCAA Tournament berth. 

Nichols will be entering her fourth season with the Mustangs where she has overseen both the forward group and defensive core. Currently, she focuses her attention on the development of the team’s forwards and plays a significant role in the overall guidance of the team as a whole. She also works with teams on campus in the strength and conditioning sector.

Team USA will face Switzerland, Great Britain, Canada, Czechia and Slovakia in Group Stage play.
