One thing I’ve learned over the years is that entertaining is easier when you have pieces that do the heavy lifting for you.

This summer, I’ve been reaching for some of my favorite Birch Lane entertaining essentials again and again. The outdoor bar cart keeps everything organized, the melamine dinner and salad plates make outdoor dining easy, and the serving bowl is perfect for sharing family favorites. I added a table lamp for a warm glow as the sun started to set, served homemade lemonade in my pitcher and glasses, and ended the evening gathered around the firepit.

I love that birchlane pieces are timeless, practical, and meant to be used. Their classic style for joyful living fits right in with the way I love to entertain—creating welcoming spaces where family and friends can gather, relax, and make memories together.

And because every gathering deserves a sweet treat, I made mini S’mores Dot Cakes in mason jars.

Mini S’mores Dot Cakes

Ingredients:
• 2 ½ cups chocolate chips
• 2 cups heavy cream
• 16 oz Cool Whip, thawed
• 7.5 oz marshmallow fluff
• 2 cups mini marshmallows
• Graham cracker crumbs
• Rainbow sprinkles

Directions:
Heat the heavy cream until simmering, then pour it over the chocolate chips. Stir until smooth to make a ganache and let cool slightly.

In a separate bowl, fold together the Cool Whip, marshmallow fluff, and mini marshmallows.

In mini mason jars, add one layer of chocolate ganache, one layer of graham cracker crumbs, and one layer of the marshmallow mixture. Dip the tops into rainbow sprinkles and refrigerate until chilled.

Simple recipes, beautiful entertaining pieces, and people gathered around the table. That’s summer. 💛
