🎙️ CLOSET CONFESSIONS: Episode 1 — Summer Break Is Testing Me 😅 Parents, caregivers, guardians... how are y'all doing? Because over here, we are going THROUGH it. 😂😭

My whole schedule has been turned upside down. The routines that worked are no longer working. The structure is gone. The house is louder. The days feel longer. The energy levels are lower. And honestly? We are exhausted.

The past few weeks have brought so many changes, and my son has experienced some regression. We're doing our best to help him feel safe, secure, grounded, and loved as he navigates it all. But if I'm being real, some days are hard. Some days everyone is struggling at the same time.

As someone who is naturally patient, I can feel the Lord stretching me in this season. He's teaching me how to remain calm in the middle of the storm, how to respond instead of react, how to choose love over frustration, grace over irritation, and wisdom over emotion. Because when we're tired, overwhelmed, overstimulated, and running on empty, what's inside of us gets squeezed out.And lately, I've been asking God to help me reflect Him even in the chaos.

So if you're in a hard season with your children right now, here's your reminder:
1. Take a break when you need one.
2. Step away and breathe.
3. Sit quietly with God for a few minutes.
4. Ask Him for wisdom and direction.
5. Rest when you can.
6. Take care of yourself too.
7. Ask for help if you need it.
8. Give yourself grace.
9. Give your children grace.
10. Remember that difficult seasons don't last forever.

Sometimes our children aren't giving us a hard time—they're having a hard time. And sometimes we as parents are having a hard time too. So let's extend compassion to ourselves and each other.

I'd love to hear from you:
👉 What are you doing with your kids this summer?
👉 How do you handle regressions, difficult transitions, or challenging seasons?
👉 What helps you stay grounded when everyone in the house seems to be struggling?

Let's encourage one another. ❤️🫂
