A pituitary tumor sounds alarming — but most are benign, and only about 1 in 1,000 actually require treatment.

That said, even benign tumors can disrupt your entire  hormonal system — causing your body to produce too much  of certain hormones, or damaging the gland so it produces  too little.

Symptoms to watch for:
→ Vision loss or loss of peripheral vision
→ Double vision or eye changes
→ Hearing loss
→ Balance problems
→ Changes in swallowing or speech
