British Transport Police reported one fatality and several injuries after a two-train collision by two East Midlands Railway trains near Bedford which occurred on Friday, June 19. ⁣

The East of England Ambulance Service deployed multiple resources, including an air ambulance, to the site 100km north of London and advised people to avoid the area. ⁣

Social media footage from a passenger showed the front of one train entangled with the rear of another. ⁣
