The US and Iran have reached an agreement to end their conflict and begin broader talks on a range of issues.⁣

Negotiations were set to take place at the Bürgenstock Resort in Lucerne, Switzerland, where a memorandum of understanding (MOU) was also expected to be signed. Instead, both presidents signed the MOU remotely on Wednesday.⁣
⁣
Iran's chief negotiator, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, and US Vice President JD Vance were expected to take part in the discussions to flesh out the details of the deal, but the Swiss said they could provide no further information on the agenda.⁣
