Russian President Vladimir Putin toured the historic centre of Kazan on Wednesday alongside Tatarstan Governor Rustam Minnikhanov ahead of the Russia-ASEAN Forum.⁣

Footage shows Putin visiting landmarks including the Kazan Kremlin, the Annunciation Cathedral and the Kul Sharif Mosque, as well as stopping to exchange a few words with tourists.⁣

Putin is in Kazan for the three-day Russia-ASEAN Forum, taking place from June 17-19, which is expected to bring together foreign delegations and thousands of participants.⁣
⁣
Officials say the city will host 13 foreign delegations and around 28,500 people connected to the event, including journalists, translators, technical staff and security personnel.⁣
