USA CLINCHES! 

The #USMNT locked up a World Cup knockout stage spot after shutting out Australia, 2-0, on June 19. 

Even with Christian Pulisic sidelined with a calf injury, the USMNT turned in another strong performance on home soil, opening the scoring just 11 minutes in through a Cameron Burgess own goal.

Just before halftime, Alex Freeman doubled the lead with a header from close range after a deflected shot from Sergiño Dest.

The U.S. held on in the second half through a strong defensive performance. Mauricio Pochettino's side will now close out the group against Turkey on Thursday, June 25.
