HYROX New York II Pro Solo 
1:01:47 - 1st 25-29 / 4th Overall / First Pro Wave 1 Win 🥇

Although I was marginally slower the second go-around in Pro Solo, this one was special. The week prior I toed the line with some of the heaviest hitters in North America and landed in the Top-10 (1:01:36, PR, 9th Overall). I came back weekend two (and 4 races later) to try again. 

I ran from the front. Led through push. Exchanged blows from there on out. Came out of Row in fourth. Made a move on Farmers, extended at the Lunges, and got to Wallballs with a small deficit to Alex. 

My wallballs were ugly. I had to break earlier and more often than I wanted to. I was starting to tip over. I failed reps at 48 and 89. I realistically fought for every rep after 70. Held it together enough to split 4:18 and take the wave win. 

I felt the uproar of the "Thunder Dome" when I hit 100 and couldn't help but smile as I crossed the finish line. All race long I heard and felt that love echoing around me. Plus, bigtomgimler making me sound significantly cooler than I actually am. This was my third consecutive 1:01 and I'm looking forward to continuing to pushing the envelope. 

This iteration of HYROX New York will go down in the books as one of my all-time HYROX weekends. I got to race (too many times), play capture the flag (+5 for the good guys), and watch my badass friends and the underdog.fitness.gym athletes I coach absolutely manhandle their races. hyroxamerica New York, thank you.
