Vice President JD Vance left Switzerland after expressing optimism that the United States and Iran have laid the groundwork for a final peace deal following a first round of new talks.

The Treasury Department temporarily lifted sanctions on Iranian oil Monday, providing at least 60 days of relief. The move is expected to bring significant financial benefit to Iran, and oil prices continued to fall as more oil is expected to reach the global market.
