I got early access to OpenArt Director, so I wanted to create something cinematic, atmospheric, and a little haunting.

I keep calling this process vibe directing because that’s honestly what it felt like — shaping the character, mood, movement, sound, and story through conversation until the scene started to feel alive.

For this piece, I wanted beauty first: the tabi socks, the geta, the silk, the rain, the ritual. Then slowly… the transformation.

She begins as elegance.
She ends as something they should have never awakened.

I’ll drop the early access link in my update channel for anyone who wants to try Director for themselves.

Video description for accessibility:
A cinematic supernatural short set inside a rain-soaked abandoned Japanese shrine theater. A beautiful woman in a richly textured red-and-ivory kimono begins in a traditional kneeling pose, wearing white tabi socks and wooden geta. The camera moves from her feet up through the detailed fabric, tassels, sword, long black hair, and pale face marked with a red dot. As rain falls and candlelight flickers around her, she rises gracefully and transforms into a haunting onryō spirit. The final shot shows her screaming toward the camera before fading to black.
