Fail to equalize? 👂🌊

This drill is made to build proprioception for Frenzel equalization 🧠

Proprioception means learning to feel and control the small internal movements of the mouth, nose, throat, and ears.

The goal is to send air to the middle ear without using the lungs.

1. Pinch your nose 👃

Keep a small amount of air inside your mouth.

Gently send the air into your cheeks and toward your nose at the same time.

Your cheeks and nostrils should inflate together.

2. Close the throat lock 🔒

Hold your breath as if stopping the air in your throat.

No air should go down to the lungs.

Your chest must stay still 🫁❌

You can place one hand on your chest to check.

3. Create negative pressure

After sending air toward the nose, gently suck back.

You should feel a light negative pressure in the mouth and in the nostrils.

This is where you start to feel the small muscles working.

4. Push the epiglottis area down

Once you feel the negative pressure, push the epiglottis/glottis area down and guide the air only toward the nose.

Do not force.

The movement must come from control, not from the chest.

5. Check the pressure ✅

Release your fingers from the nose.

If air comes out, it means you created pressure in the right place.

6. Check the equalization 👂

If you feel a soft pop in both ears, it means air reached the middle ear.

That is what you are looking for.

No pain.
No force.
No lung pressure.

Frenzel is not about pushing harder.

It is about awareness, control, and precision 🎯

Practice slowly on dry land first.

Stop immediately if you feel pain or discomfort ⚠️
