Most people miss these spots when visiting Madeira…

(Save this for your visit 🔖)

🌊 Ponta do Clérigo

This underrated hike (which is a bit of a hidden gem) offers one of the most incredible viewpoints on the island. It’s located on the north side of the island, close to Santana.

Comment ‘HIKE’ and we’ll send you all the details 🥾

🏝 Desertas Islands

These three islands are a part of the Madeira Archipelago, but unlike Madeira Island, these are uninhabited! These islands are way more volcanic-looking and are home to some really unique species like the world’s rarest seal: the monk seal 🦭

You can visit as a day trip from Funchal, and we highly recommend it!

💦 Cascata do Água d’Alto

A beautiful waterfall that feels straight out of a fairytale. It’s a relatively easy 1-hour walk (return) along a levada leading up to this beautiful waterfall!

If you go, please note, the trail isn’t officially maintained – so ensure you wear proper footwear as there is risk of erosion, and stay safe!

⚠️ Before hiking in Madeira, make sure you download the ProCiv Madeira app!

🌅 Miradouro de São Cristóvão

One of the most epic miradouros (viewpoints) in Madeira – perfect for a sunset or golden hour view over the hills and ocean.

There’s also a really nice restaurant right next to it that serves great local food! 🤤
