First up on my “Teacher Summer of Adventure” checklist is competing in my Nationals meet for powerlifting and I’m taking you along with me! I qualified for USAPL Nationals back in October when I competed in the Olympia and have been training ever since. In my powerlifting federation, this is the highest level meet so I thought it would be fun to show you all the behind-the-scenes as I compete. I’m bringing you to Chicago with me where we will unpack my gear and equipment, walk to Target to get some last minute items I need, relax and get my body ready to perform, go to the check in and equipment check the night before, get weighed in and warmed up on the morning of the meet, share the results of my competition, and of course enjoy some yummy post-meet eats in downtown Chicago!
