Shaniwar Wada in Pune was once the seat of the mighty Peshwa rulers — grand halls, royal courtyards, immense power.

But beneath the grandeur, a betrayal was being plotted by the prince's own family.

⚠️ In 1773, 17-year-old Narayanrao Peshwa was ambushed inside his own fort.

He ran through the corridors, screaming for help, begging his uncle to save him.

No one came.

He was caught and killed in the very courtyard where he once played as a child.

According to local legend, his final screams still echo through the fort on certain nights — decades later.

🧬 The fort has stood empty and partially burnt for over a century.
