My sweetest Misha,

I still can’t believe I’m writing this.

On June 18, 2026, at 10:34 AM, you took your last breath, and a piece of my heart went with you.

Just hours before, you started acting differently. I rushed you to the ER, convinced we would come home together. I never imagined that pneumonia could take you from me so quickly. One minute I was planning our next day together, and the next I was saying goodbye.

I keep replaying every moment, wishing for more time. One more walk. One more cuddle. One more chance to see that goofy grin you’d flash whenever you knew a treat was coming your way.

You had the biggest personality packed into the most beautiful soul. You made everyone smile. You were goofy, stubborn, endlessly cuddly, and somehow always seemed to know exactly when I needed comfort. You loved with your whole heart, and I was lucky enough to be the person you chose to give that love to every single day.

The silence in this house is overwhelming now. I miss hearing your paws on the floor. I miss seeing you stretched out in your favorite spot. I miss the way you’d look at me like I was the most important person in the world.

Thank you for growing up beside me. Thank you for every adventure, every laugh, every slobbery kiss, every cuddle, and every memory. Thank you for being my best friend through some of the hardest and happiest chapters of my life.

You were never “just a dog.”

You were family.
You were home.
You were a part of me.

I don’t know how to do life without you yet. I only know that loving you was one of the greatest privileges of my life, and losing you is one of the greatest heartbreaks I’ve ever known.

I hope wherever you are, you’re running free, chasing squirrels, smiling that big Misha smile, and waiting for me.

Until we meet again, sweet girl.

Thank you for being mine.

I love you forever. ❤️🐾
