Three people are dead after a plane crashed in Prince George's County late Saturday night, according to Maryland State Police.

A pilot and two passengers were flying from Ocean City, New Jersey, to Montgomery County on Saturday. Police believe the plane belongs to a local flight school in Montgomery County and was in a training flight at the time of the crash. 

An iPhone crash notification was received at about 11:30 p.m. Saturday night by Prince George's County Public Safety Communications. 

The plane was not found until early Sunday morning, according to police. The crash happened in a wooded area near a Bowie townhouse community and a playground.
