Brown Ballers on Instagram: "The Vancouver Canucks drafted Caleb Malhotra with the 3rd overall pick in the 2026 NHL Draft, making him the highest-drafted South Asian player in NHL history. This offseason, his father, Manny Malhotra, was named head coach of the Vancouver Canucks. 

Last season in the OHL, Caleb Malhotra’s standout 2025–26 campaign with the Brantford Bulldogs earned him numerous honors. He was named a finalist for OHL Rookie of the Year, earned OHL First All-Rookie Team honors, and broke the Bulldogs’ franchise rookie scoring record with 84 points.
