🎿 Why the mountain life?
Theresa started at Sunapee back in 2005, trading city life for a place where her family could thrive outdoors year-round. While she lets her boys take the slopes, Theresa used to ski but jokes, “It’s safer for you if I stay indoors.”

❤️ Her favorite Sunapee tradition?
“I love what NEHSA does for our disabled veterans! Watching them ride down the mountain and feel the wind—it’s incredible.”

♻️ Zero Waste to Landfill 
Mount Sunapee and Vail Resorts' enterprise-wide mission is to achieve zero waste sent to landfills by 2030. Theresa has been leading the charge at Sunapee since 2021, implementing composting in our kitchens and guest sorting stations. The impact? Less waste, cleaner landfills, and a better planet.
Coming soon for the 2025/26 season: reusable plates and utensils.

🌱 Making an impact
One of Theresa’s proudest achievements is partnering with Sunapee School on a soft plastics collection program sponsored by a major decking company. At Mount Sunapee, we collect soft plastics such as plastic wrap, which get upcycled into park benches for the school. 

🐄 Sustainability Fun Fact!
The compost collected at Sunapee goes to an anaerobic digester that generates clean electricity to power local farms.

🍬 Snack wrappers?
Thanks to our partner Pepsi, we have been recycling all of our snack wrappers at Mount Sunapee and turning them into the Adirondack chairs & terrain park features you see around our resort.
