For this week's Secrets of Sunapee, we wanted to talk about our favorite Mount Sunapee tradition, The Beach! You can find what is unofficially known as the Beach on Flyway at the base of the mountain. You won't find it on a trail map, but you'll hear about it everywhere. The Beach stretches between Spruce Lodge and Sunapee Lodge, and runs along the first row of parking in Lot 1 (First come, first serve - make sure you get a great spot). It's the best location on the mountain for easy lift access, as well as the home of the Competition Center featuring our Alpine Program! The Beach is the place to be (when not shredding some snow, of course) to rehydrate, build a propane or charcoal fire to enjoy, or even break out the grill for lunch. The Beach has always been the main point of gathering, year to year, seeing a lot of the same familiar faces who make relaxing with friends and family a big part of their ski day. The Beach offers a welcoming and generous atmosphere to newcomers too ... Sunapee, afterall, is where family traditions take flight! The secret is out, so break out those grills and camp chairs, and enjoy the day on the mountain. Who's Hungry? 🍔 🌭 #WeAreSunapee
