Reigning Horse of the Year SOVEREIGNTY has returned to Churchill Downs for Saturday’s $2 million GI Stephen Foster Stakes where he’ll race under the Twin Spires for the first time since his 2025 GI Kentucky Derby triumph 👑 

Having finished second in his seasonal debut in the April 18 GII Oaklawn Handicap, Sovereignty will once again face off with the talented veteran White Abarrio.

The seven-horse field also includes Grade I winner (and stablemate) Baeza, Dubai World Cup winner Magnitude, along with graded stakes winners Willy D’s, Forged Steel, and Navajo Warrior.

Sovereignty has been installed as the 6-5 morning-line favorite for Saturday’s featured race at Churchill Downs.
