#ad I recently spent the day with my longtime friend dermatology physician associate Amy Snow and her nonprofit organization, projecthappyface, and it was one of those experiences that stays with you long after it’s over 🥹. ⁣

What struck me most was learning that one of the biggest challenges teens in rural communities face is simply access to dermatological care. As a mom of boys approaching puberty and all the hormonal changes that come with it, seeing firsthand how much clear skin can impact confidence and self-esteem during those formative years was powerful. ⁣
⁣
Project Happy Face is doing incredible work to help bridge that gap, bringing skincare and acne treatment to teens who might not otherwise have access to it. It was such a meaningful reminder that there are people out there making a real difference in the lives of others. ⁣

One of the treatments Amy uses with her patients is WINLEVI® (clascoterone) cream 1% winlevi_cream acne treatment. WINLEVI is a topical prescription medicine to treat acne in people 12 and older. WINLEVI cream may cause serious side effects including local skin irritation such as itching and burning. Use as directed by your doctor. In a study where significantly larger amounts than recommended were applied, a condition in which the adrenal gland does not make enough of certain hormones was observed. The most common side effects include reddening, scaling or dryness, and itchy skin. ⁣
