Born in Iran but living in midtown, twentythree grew up absorbing a mix of Caribbean rhythms, early 2010s Toronto rap, and the melodic influence of artists like Drake, PARTYNEXTDOOR, and The Weeknd. He’s also cited internet-era acts such as Juice WRLD and Lil Uzi Vert as key inspirations, shaping his instinct for blending emotional songwriting with catchy, genre-blurring production 👨‍💻

Over the past year, he’s built a following by blending jerk music with melodic rap. Standout tracks like “Queen St,” “Trust Nobody,” and “Bite Me” helped define his sound, pairing superficial lyrics with airy, synth-driven beats. That approach has helped him become one of the city’s fastest-rising independent names, culminating in his debut mixtape, 6ix Pop 💿

The project arrives with nine tracks and serves as his clearest artistic statement to date, introducing listeners to the world he’s been building over the last year 👀

For the mixtape’s rollout, twentythree filmed the visual for 6ix Pop at Toronto’s Sphere, one of the city’s most recognizable new landmarks.
