Hardest hike we’ve done 
and it might just be our new fave!
The climb up the Mist Trail to the top of Vernal Fall 
was the besssst experience together!! 

The incline and steep steps definitely pushed us, 
but hiking right alongside the waterfall was unreal 🥹 
and it like a new hike trail at every turn!
Beautiful views, the mist felt healing, kids loved getting wet.

We did the full Mist Trail–John Muir Loop, but this is just the climb up. I’ll share the mountainside in another video. 

We packed thin rain jackets to stay warm through the mist, 
then dried out while enjoying lunch at the top.

Before this, the Knysna Heads hike in South Africa was our favorite, but the Mist Trail might have just taken the top spot.

📌 Start early! We hit the trail at 6:30 AM, giving us time to enjoy the views, stop for photos, and take water breaks. By 10:00 AM, the trail was crowded on our way down.

It’ll still be beautiful, but go early for the better experience! 
The camera just doesn’t capture its true beauty.
Definitely a must hike at one of America’s most iconic trails!
