Canada is through!

Five former NCAA players started as Canada won its first-ever #FIFAWorldCup knockout match to book a place in the Round of 16.

Richie Laryea (Akron '14–'15), Tajon Buchanan (Syracuse '17–'18), Tani Oluwaseyi (St. John's '18–'21), Moise Bombito (New Hampshire '22) and Alistair Johnston (Wake Forest '18–'19) all started in Canada's Round of 32 victory, while Dayne St. Clair (Maryland '15–'18) and Cyle Larin (UConn '13–'14) were unused substitutes.

Canada will face either Morocco or the Netherlands on Saturday, July 4, in Houston.
