This is a little different to what I usually post…

Did you know that as of March 2026, the UN has stated that there has been a worldwide regression in women’s rights?

Did you also know that as of the past month women in Afghanistan have had almost all of their rights entirely revoked?

I bring this up because it deeply upsets me, enrages me. And I feel like there’s not enough, never enough discussion about it.

I feel so incredible lucky simply to be born in the UK, to be able to travel the world freely with a powerful passport and to simply be able to make the decisions I want to for myself whenever I want.

And so many women around the world are not given the same fundamental right.

I’ve been sitting on these thoughts for a while now, not really knowing what to do about them. I want to help. I want to do something to change the lives for women around the world. And I thought the least I could do was start with this post.

Please don’t ignore this problem, or just see this as a ‘feminist ramble’. I know that the first step to making a change is for more people to know and to care.

So please, care too ❤️

Thank you for reading this if you make it this far. I don’t usually post about this but I can’t help but feel like I’m not doing enough. I want women around the world to feel as free as I do. They deserve it.
