First night in at Feather Down Farm, New Barn, Bedford.

The pizzas were outstanding. Unsurprising really, as they’ve been doing pizza nights for over a decade.

This is actually my son’s Forest School head torch. One unexpected bonus of no signal and no doom scrolling was finally getting stuck into Everyone Everywhere by lucasfothergill definitely recommend for any mixed race , heritage or inbetweeners like me a beautifully written book thanks for sending Lucas !

Meeting up with lovely humans from my uni days 

A barbecue, our kids playing in the guinea pig barn and on the swings in the woods.

One of the extras you can add to your stay is pony grooming.

The boys loved helping to look after this little pony.

Another extra that was a winner was having a pet guinea pig for the weekend.
