I grew up hearing that hedge apples keep spiders away… and apparently my son did t fall for the propaganda 😂 Turns out, he was right to call me out. There’s actually no evidence that hedge apples repel spiders. However, the compounds inside the fruit have been shown to repel certain insects like mosquitoes and cockroaches. They’re not poisonous to people either, but the milky sap contains a natural latex that can irritate your skin.
