Originally built in 1897 by railroad tycoon Henry Plant, this grand hotel welcomed presidents, celebrities, and generations of travelers. At its height, it boasted more than 400 rooms and stood as a symbol of Florida’s early luxury tourism boom.

Though much of the original structure was lost over time, its story didn’t end there. In 2018, the inn’s historic lobby and 35 rooms were relocated and meticulously restored, preserving the craftsmanship and charm of a bygone era while introducing modern comforts.

Guests today can walk original hardwood floors, climb the iconic grand staircase, and experience the same architectural details that wowed visitors more than a century ago—all while enjoying thoughtful touches like breakfast delivered to their door each morning in a charming basket.
